Features

DICOM Simulation Mode
This projector offers a DICOM Simulation Mode to simulate the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function for display of grayscale images. The DICOM Simulation Mode adjusts the gradation between the minimum and the maximum luminance so gradation is distributed optimally. This feature is optimized for displaying medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans and MRIs, which makes this projector ideal for non-diagnostic purposes such as lectures, academic meetings and in-hospital conferences. This feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only.

Up to 5000 Lumens with up to 2000:1 Contrast Ratio
The projector projects bright 5000 lumen images with up to a 2000:1 contrast ratio that helps ensure deep blacks, bright whites and outstanding color. The results are images with crisp depth and dimension, and amazing color accuracy, which is critical to those with discerning needs.

Native WUXGA Resolution (1920 x 1200)
Canon's WUXGA resolution brings bright, true widescreen display of intricately detailed HD video content and still images with outstanding color richness to large-room installations in high resolution WUXGA (1920 x 1200) at a competitive price. Content is projected without compression. Widescreen graphics, text and other visual content from laptops and desktop computers are shown in accurate proportions, just as it appears on most monitor screens.

LCOS Technology with AISYS-enhancement
The exceptional imaging performance of the projector starts with Canon's proprietary AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) Optical Engine. This engine utilizes advanced light management technology to maximize the contrast and brightness benefits of the projector's LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) display panels, which deliver superior reflectivity and durability while accomplishing high luminance. The result is highly detailed, seamless, ultra-sharp image projection in virtually any environment.

Genuine Canon Optics with Constant Brightness throughout 1.8x Zoom Range
Drawing on Canon’s advanced optical expertise, this projector utilizes Genuine Canon Optics to project high-quality, virtually distortion-free images. Featuring a consistent F-Stop equivalent of F2.8, makes it possible to virtually maintain brightness throughout the zoom range with virtually no light loss, helping to maximize performance with installation flexibility.

Installation Versatility with Lens Shift, 360-degree Vertical Installation*, 4-Point Keystone Correction and More Install-Friendly Functions

Compact Design
This projector creates high resolution images within an incredibly compact projector size. The innovative AISYS Optical Engine makes this possible by independently controlling light in both vertical and horizontal directions to achieve both high brightness and contrast. Combined with the small size of the LCOS panels (just 0.76 inches), the projector is incredibly compact while delivering outstanding performance. At a height of 5.3 inches, width of 13.2 inches and weight of 13 pounds, it’s small and light enough to fit in a variety of spaces.

4-Point Keystone Correction
The Canon REALiS WUX500 features 4-Point independent Keystone Correction that has been added to the WUX500 giving the user the ability to adjust corners with precise accuracy. Furthermore, it allows the corners of the image to be independently adjusted to help ensure optimal image reproduction.

Advanced Professional Calibration Settings including Edge Blending and PC-Free Multi Projection (JPEG only)

Edge Blending
The Edge Blending function enables the user to combine multiple images to create a seamless projection. Advanced functions allow for color blending and black level adjustments to maximize image quality.

PC-Free Multi Projection
Multi-Projection: Up to nine REALiS WUX500s can be networked together to project one full image without the use of a computer. This is accomplished by setting one projector as a "master" and all others as "slaves". The "master" projector reads the JPEG image that is input via the USB port and then distributes the information to the other projectors. Finally, all projectors work together to display a complete image.

Versatile Connectivity (HDMI, DVI-I, USB, RJ-45)

HDBaseT™
This projector is equipped with a built-in HDBaseT™ receiver facilitating uncompressed HD video, audio and control signals to be transmitted over one single LAN cable with a maximum distance of 100m. This reduces complex wiring schemes used for a typical setup as well as maximizing long cable runs with minimal image quality degradation.

Network Multi Projection (NMPJ) over Wi-Fi®

Low Power Consumption and Simplified Maintainance
This projector uses a relatively low amount of power per lumen. It offers multiple power-management settings that allow the user to preset stand-by durations, execute power operations and auto-assign functions to the power button.

The design of this projector also allows for simplified maintenance – air filters and the projection lamp can be replaced while the projector remains ceiling mounted without having to uninstall.

Canon Service Tool for PJ
Canon's free PJ App makes it possible to control Canon projectors remotely and conveniently from iOS® devices. Wi-Fi&teg; connection enables the clear display of the projector menu on the screen of your tablet or smartphone - supporting simplified set-up, operation and maintenance. Backed by Canon's 5-Year Limited Warranty including the Advanced Warranty Service Exchange Program and Service Loaner Program

Backed by Canon's 3-Year Limited Warranty including the Advanced Warranty Service Exchange Program and Service Loaner Program

This projector is backed by Canon USA's Projector and Lamp Limited Warranty, which ensures the Projector is free from defects in workmanship and materials for 3 years from the date of original purchase. The lamp is similarly covered for 120 days from the date of original purchase.

3-Year Advanced Warranty Exchange Service Program
The Canon 3-Year Advanced Warranty Exchange Service Program provides you with enhanced warranty service in addition to traditional "mail-in" repair service. The exchange program provides a replacement unit in exchange for your eligible inoperative Canon Projector if repair service is required during the product's limited warranty period.

3-Year Service Loaner Program
The Canon 3-Year Service Loaner Program provides a loaner product in the event that your eligible Canon Projector is in need of repair during the limited warranty period. The loaner projector may be used while your inoperative unit is being serviced via Canon's "mail-in" repair service.
