Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park
The weather couldn't have been more picture-perfect for Canon U.S.A.'s 24th annual Clean Earth Crew Event held Sept. 25. This was the Company’s third consecutive year volunteering to help with the end-of-season spruce up at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, which borders Long Island Sound. Due to continued COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, there was one session with up to 100 participants permitted. More than 80 employees from Canon U.S.A. and Canon Solutions America, along with their families and friends, attended.
Activities included cleanup of the beach, painting barriers, sweeping the boardwalk, planting of mums around the park’s flagpole and the spreading of mulch by the bathhouse. Prizes were raffled off to the kids in attendance.
