Authorized Send - Secure Document Distribution Application
Enterprise Office Software

Authorized Send Brochure
Authorized Send is a MEAPĀ® (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) application developed by Canon. It is a server-less application installed and operated on a Canon MEAP enabled MFP device, which offers users open access to everyday walk-up features such as copying but requires authentication to all send features, Scan to E-mail, Scan to Fax and Scan to Folder.
Authorized Send supports the following key customer requirements: Restricting scanning and sending capabilities only to authorized users by authenticating to a variety of flexible servers and protocols. Simplified intuitive workflow for basic Scan to E-mail, Scan to Fax and Scan to Folder. Allow all users to perform everyday walk-up operations, while maintaining authentication during Send activities. Reduce administrative burdens with a server-less solution.
Features
Users will be surprised at just how simple it is to scan and send documents with Authorized Send. Authorized Send provides users with a quick and easy, yet secure, way to scan and distribute documents to e-mail recipients, network folders and fax destinations.
Before walk-up users can access the scan and send functions on the device's control panel, you will be prompted for authentication.
Once authenticated, users are presented with the available Scan to E-mail, Scan to Folder and Scan to Fax functions. Sending documents by e-mail, folder and fax server can be as easy as sending a message from a desktop computer. For e-mails, users can specify the "Subject" and "Body" of the message and address it by manually entering each recipient's address or perform a search on the Address Book. For a fax server, users just need to enter the recipient's number and you can send to multiple destinations by separating the numbers with a comma.
Users can change per job setting, including paper size, resolution, brightness, color or monochrome, image mode, single or double sided, and file formats. Documents can be sent in JPG, TIFF, TIFF (single), PDF, PDF Compact, PDF OCR, or Encrypted PDF.
Some user operational and usability features include:
- Job Build
Generate a single Send to transaction by combining multiple scan documents or sources. - Dynamic Folder Creation
Dynamic creation of folders under preset shares created by an administrator.
Authorized Send is configured through a protected Configuration Servlet on the imageRUNNER device, accessed remotely by administrators through a standard web browser. From the Servlet, administrators can designate the authentication, email and address book servers, enable or disable each of the "Scan to" functions, define preset shares, enable and view logs, force carbon copies to the sender's e-mail address, and customize the background color, logo and button on the user interface.

Why Your Document Distribution Needs Help
Documents play a critical role in your organization. But creating, editing, printing, and distributing documents is labor intensive and error prone. A document capture and distribution solution uses Multifunction Devices (MFDs), scanners, and mobile phones to capture, process, and distribute paper documents automatically. Used correctly, it can eliminate the cost of printing, faxing, and shipping.
